Music & Cd Cover, Etc...

Journal Entry: Sat Sep 13, 2008, 5:12 PM
I've been finishing off some Arabic songs I've been writing and working on for a while now, for an album I'll hopefully be releasing soon called 'Mamnou3 El Intizar'.

I commissioned ~Jtumburus to draw/paint the cover for me based on an idea I had, and he's done absolutely wonderful work with it. We ended up with two pretty cool versions of the same concept, you can see those at :

and

I really love the work he's done on these, and am mostly leaning towards using the 2nd one as a cover, and the first one on the inside somewhere, or on a poster. Not quite sure yet :)

And - in case you're curious - you can hear some of the music at [link] if you use facebook or on my site at [link] :)

I listen to Guns N' Roses for the same reason I read Philip K. Dick, Gore Vidal, Robert Pirsig, and Noam Chomsky. What's good is good, if anything - you should take that as proof that I'll take the 'good' no matter where it comes from, and that when I tell you about things that suck - it's because they actually suck.

As for coke, I'm an addict, always been. Thank you very much.

Busted? Go play, 'Bushi'.

Great art and great ideas akhi.

I'm also Egyptian (well half) and I'm very political myself. I'm glad you're sticking up for our fellow Arabs and Muslims in Iraq.

Ma Salama. Keep up the good work. :)

very good deviation on F*ck Iraq. Excellent presentation also. Also, I very much like how you adress, in a clear and consice manner, people's rantings. I wish more people would think like you so that we could end this pointless war. :)

There ARE no 'civilian' contractors in Iraq or Afghanistan! These are people who have come on a convoy led by a tank to reap profits from an illegal occupation led by the USA. They are the people from Halliburton and the Carlyle Group and various other companies highly connected with Cheney and his monkey crew of mercenaries.

They are coming into the country surrounded by an armed convoy, there to squeeze profits from a country they have entered as 'guests' to the invading forces. There's absolutely nothing 'civil' or 'civilian' about them, and the sooner you realize that, the sooner this incredible misunderstanding will resolve itself.

Watch some Mike Gravel. Damn it, vote for the man.

Oh and your bit about a Marine shooting a prisoner.

You make it like the Islamic Extremists are better people. Capturing civilian contractors, And decapitating them.

The world is Cruel. Islamic extremists are much worse. What about the 10th mountain soldiers who were captured recently in Iraq. One of them was my fellow classmate. He was a prisoner of war. What did they do?

Torture him, found lash marks on his back. And then what did they do shoot him in the head and throw him in a river...

And your comments seem so hostile, i at least acknowledge what you say and respect your decisions but you seem like a very hostile person.
